Hi there! My name is Michael Donchenko. I am an amateur OSINT analyst and BA Psychology student at Wilfrid Laurier University/University of Waterloo. My goal is to pursue a Masters degree in Intelligence and International Affairs after my BA, and go on to work in the field. I have a particular focus on Eastern European security and countering disinformation from adversarial states. I also have great interest in North American security.

Hobbies
In my free time I like to read books on national security and geopolitics. I am currently reading “Intelligence in the National Security Enterprise” by Roger Z. George. I love language learning and am currently, slowly but steadily, learning the Persian language. Binging documentaries is something I have a tendency of doing frequently, as when I learn about events happening around the world, I try to delve in and obtain as much knowledge as possible. I love writing as it is a creative outlet, which is why you will see me posting a ton on my SubStack and blog. I advocate for media literacy and teaching our youth how to navigate the complex digital media space without falling for disinformation. I believe so strongly in this that I plan on volunteering in the near future at schools and showing the next generation just how easy it is to fall for digitally manipulated content.
